A couple of weeks ago I was invited to check out the newly opened W Sound Suite at the W Seattle. It is the final touch of their multi-million dollar renovation, and I have to say the Sound Suite along with the WOW Suite, which we toured were quite impressive!
The Wow Suite, pictured below is one of their luxury suites that was renovated to pay homage to Seattle and the PNW. The suite has elements inspired by Boeing, like airplane blueprints on the bedsheets and industrial hardware. There are also unique nature influences, such as the carpet in the main room, it has a circular pattern which represents tree age rings. This suite not only has every comfort you could ever want but it has a stunning city view as well. If you are looking to splurge on a vacation or staycation in Seattle, I would say the W Seattle is a great option.
Right down the hall is their newest addition, the W Sound Suite. The concept is so perfect for Seattle since music runs in the lifeline of the city. It is a private recording studio and creative space for artists. There is a vocal booth, mixing equipment and a fun hangout area for colleagues and friends. I think it can also double as a great party or reception room. There was an old school NES, two flat screen TVs, and plenty of space to lounge around.
My favorite part of touring the W Seattle Sound Suite was the food, of course! There is a special menu called the Rider Menu, with lots of delicious snacks. You can order different packages depending on what you’re in the mood for. We sampled the Fried Chicken Sliders, Jello-Shots (my hubs sampled these), Seattle Dogs, Cheeseburger Sliders, Fried Pickles, and Handcut Fries.
The Fried Chicken sliders were probably my favorite, but everything was delicious! It was guilty pleasure heaven for this almost 8-months preggo lady! I also found out that many of these snacks are available at the W’s Trace Restaurant and Bar. Which by the way, is a great spot downtown to grab a drink and some live music with your friends after work. I had no idea that their lounge area, called The Living Room, has live music performances. If you’re interested in hearing local DJ’s or bands, you can view their schedule here.
Cheers,
Sonya
